Club take part in medical events.

Sunderland AFC lent some of their expertise in the medical field at two training events recently. 

The course covered musculoskeletal examination and common conditions.

Dr Rae also spent a day teaching newly-qualified doctors who will shortly begin posts as general practitioners across Wearside and beyond.

Both events were part of the medical department’s commitment to work alongside NHS staff in providing excellent medical care throughout the region.

Dr Rae said: “As a club we are always keen to assist wherever possible.

“We have a wealth of experience within the department and passing on some of that knowledge to help local healthcare services can only be a good thing.”
