Have your artwork displayed at North East Live gig.
North East Live, the region’s biggest ever pop show, is being staged at the Stadium of Light on 22 June, featuring some of the country’s favourite pop acts including JLS, The Wanted, Rita Ora, Little Mix, James Arthur, Conor Maynard, Stooshe, Union J and Amelia Lily.
And local school children and students are being given the opportunity to play their part in the music extravaganza with a fantastic competition.
Primary school pupils are being asked to draw a picture about what they think the concert will be like. The drawings could feature anything from pictures of the acts to families and friends enjoying the show
A montage of the artwork will be displayed for tens of thousands of music fans to see on show day and the winning entry will take pride of place in the display. The winner will also receive four VIP tickets to the concert and the winning pupils’ school will also receive four VIP tickets for the show.
SAFC commercial director Gary Hutchinson said: “We’re encouraging children to be as creative and original as they want and really get into the spirit of North East Live. It’s a fun, family-friendly event for the whole region and we want to involve as many people as possible in the show and the build up to the day.”
Secondary school and college students will also have the chance to participate, with a competition to test their writing skills. They are being asked to submit a mock review of what the concert will be like and the winner will be invited to attend the show and write an actual review, which will appear on Sunderland AFC’s official website, www.safc.com. They will also receive four VIP concert tickets for themselves and their school/ college.
Local schools and colleges have been contacted directly by SAFC with details of the competition, however any schools who would like additional information on how to get involved should email email@example.com.
