JLS headline pop extravaganza

by Kate Smith

Superstar boyband set for SoL date.

Pop sensations JLS are to headline the North East Live music extravaganza at the Stadium of light this summer.

The boy band, who have sold over 10 million records worldwide, will be part of the region’s biggest ever concert when they perform at the Stadium of Light on Saturday 22 June.

It will be the only place to see JLS perform this year as they prepare for their arena tour in December.

The four piece made up of Aston, Marvin Ortise and JB burst onto the scene in 2008 as X-Factor finalists and have since gone on to perform their hits across the globe.

JLS who have taken the music world by storm with five UK Number Ones said: “We can’t wait to come to Sunderland and play North East Live in June.”

The UK’s biggest boy band will be joined on Wearside by a whole host of music superstars at North East Live including The Wanted, Connor Maynard, Little Mix, Rita Ora, Amelia Lily, Lawson, Stooshe, Union J and more.
