Michael Gray on hand as Pingit Photobooth tour visits Sunderland.

Former Sunderland star Michael Gray is making a return to the Stadium of Light on Saturday.

Michael will be on hand at the Barclays Pingit Photobooth from 1-3pm at the Stadium of Light, ahead of the Black Cats' game against Arsenal to meet fans as they try out the new Barclays Pingit technology in its ‘Don’t Pass it, Ping it’ interactive experience.

Pingit is a new technology from Barclays, which allows people to send and receive money via an app on their mobile phone.

The technology – the first of its kind – was introduced to Barclays customers earlier this year, and is now available to anyone with a UK bank account.

The ‘Don’t Pass it, Ping it’ campaign will see a Pingit match-day Photobooth visit Barclays Premier League grounds across the country during the course of the season.

Michael will be on hand to have his picture taken with fans and to discuss with them who is the best ‘pinger’ or passer of the ball in Sunderland’s and the Barclays Premier League’s history.

At the same time fans can try out the technology and can see how they can settle the payment for purchases such as pies, programmes and pints with their friends through the click of an app.

The Pingit Photobooth will be outside the Stadium of Light from 1-3pm on Saturday 9th February, before moving on to Liverpool for the club’s match against Swansea City on Sunday 17th February.
