David Guetta in the house

by Kate Smith

Superstar DJ will light up SoL with Rihanna.

Dance music sensation David Guetta is set to get the party started at the home of SAFC next summer as he supports Rihanna on her global Diamonds tour at the Stadium of Light in June 2013.

The French house music DJ and producer, who has had five UK Number Ones, wrote and produced Rihanna’s upcoming Unapologetic album and will once again link up with the superstar on Wearside on Thursday 20 June 2013. Guetta has released five albums since breaking through onto the dance music scene in 2002 with his debut album ‘Just a Little More Love’ before his first number one with Kelly Rowland in 2009 with ‘When Love Takes Over’.

Unprecedented demand is expected for Rihanna tickets, with the Sunderland show being one of only three stadium performances on the UK leg of the tour (Twickenham in London and the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff being the other two).
