Winners to take in QPR clash.
Port-of-Blyth based Alnmaritec Ltd have been officially revealed as the winner of the ‘Be a Director for the Day’ competition by Sunderland AFC’s sponsors Invest in Africa.
Two senior representatives from the innovative aluminium alloy boatbuilding company have won the opportunity to experience hospitality in the Director’s Box for the upcoming Sunderland AFC v QPR game on Tuesday 27th November.
Meanwhile, eight other company employees will watch the game from the surroundings of an executive box, courtesy again of Invest in Africa. A spokesman for Alnmaritec stated:
“Not only are we looking forward to the game and sharing it with our colleagues, we are also excited about Invest is Africa’s aim to promote Africa as a business destination, which we will no doubt discuss in depth with them on Tuesday.”
Alnmaritec specialises in the design and build of workboats for operators across a wide range of industries and has already recognised the business potential in Africa having supplied boats to Ghana, Angola and Nigeria amongst many other West African countries.
Invest in Africa received great support from regional businesses for the competition. Each entrant will be receiving feedback from Invest in Africa about the potential opportunities to do business in the continent over the coming weeks. Sunderland AFC’s commercial director Gary Hutchinson (pictured) said: “We are very much looking forward to welcoming the representatives from Alnmaritec Ltd to the game on Tuesday evening and hope they enjoy getting an insight into a match day at the Stadium of Light.”
