Sunderland Under-21 midfielder Tom Scott has joined Kettering Town on a loan deal until the end of the season.
Scott, 20, arrived on Wearside from Northampton Town in July 2021 and made his first-team debut by playing the full 90 minutes in our Papa John’s Trophy win over Manchester United U21 in October of that year.
The central midfielder has featured 10 times for our U21 side this season, scoring once, and joins Kettering for the side’s final eight games of the National League North campaign. The Poppies are currently 19th in the division, and take on Darlington on Saturday, the loan club of U21 teammate Nathan Newall.
