Non-League Day: Watch our U21 loanees in action

With the loan deadline having now passed for non-league clubs to bring in players for the remainder of the 2022-23 season, the first Non-League Day of the calendar year on Saturday 25 March comes at an ideal time.

Numerous young professionals from SAFC – primarily from the Under-21 setup – have now departed the Club to get senior experience, and here’s where you can show your support for the non-league scene and watch the Lads at the same time, wherever you’re based…

Nathan Newall (Darlington) // Tom Scott (Kettering Town)

Kettering Town vs Darlington, 3pm, Latimer Park, NN15 5PS

Two U21 Lads could come up against each other in the West Midlands on Saturday afternoon, as Nathan Newall – a key part of Darlington’s recent Play-Off push in the National League North – visits Latimer Park to take on a Kettering side who have just taken on midfield man Tom Scott.

Tom could be in line for a debut for his local club this weekend, as Kettering look to strengthen their grip on definite survival.

Michael Spellman (Blyth Spartans)

Blyth Spartans vs Chester FC, 3pm, Croft Park, NE24 3JE

Michael has been on loan at Blyth Spartans for nearly two months now as he gathers more men’s football experience.

The winger has been productive in Blyth’s survival fight as they look to remain in the National League North, and Saturday will be a tough test against promotion-chasing Chester.

Harry Gardiner (South Shields)

South Shields vs Radcliffe, 3pm, 1st Cloud Arena, NE33 4PU

Harry has been in blistering goalscoring form for our U21 side of late, and has linked up with Kevin Phillips to try and see South Shields over the line for the Northern Premier League title.

The Mariners need just nine points from their final six games to secure the championship, and the young striker could make his debut against second-placed Radcliffe.

Ethan Kachosa (Guiseley)

Guiseley vs Belper Town, 3pm, Nethermoor Park, LS20 8BX

Ethan could make his Guiseley debut this weekend, as the ninth-placed side in the Northern Premier League take on Belper Town.

The Lions could keep their faint Play-Off dreams alive with victory at Nethermoor Park.

Adam Richardson has also joined the club on loan until the end of the season, but is currently absent through a short-term injury.

Connor Pye & Tom Chiabi (Morpeth Town)

Stafford Rangers vs Morpeth Town, 3pm, Marston Road, ST16 3BX

Connor and Tom face a long trip to Staffordshire this weekend, looking to take another huge step towards securing Northern Premier League survival as they take on Stafford Rangers.

Morpeth Town have taken on the duo until the end of the season – Connor recently extending his deal for the full remainder of 2022-23 – as they look to supplement their dramatic comeback win over Stalybridge Celtic in midweek.

Owen Robinson (Lancaster City)

Lancaster City vs Hyde United, 3pm, Giant Axe, LA1 5PE

On the scoresheet in his last game, Owen this week extended his loan with Lancaster until the end of the season.

The side sit 11th in the Northern Premier League, against tough opposition in Hyde United, who slot in at third.

Harrison Bond (Shildon)

Shildon vs Cleethorpes Town, 3pm, Dean Street, DL4 1EZ

Harrison has been at Shildon for several months now, securing vital experience as the side look to beat the drop from the Northern League East Division.

Saturday pits them at their home ground of Dean Street against a strong Cleethorpes Town outfit.

Show your support for our young Lads and for Non-League Day!
