On the ball: Young Cats travel to leaders City

Sunderland under-18s resume their Premier League campaign this Saturday as they travel to league-leaders Manchester City.

Four points clear at the summit of the U18 Premier League and with a game in hand over rivals Manchester United, City enter the game in a rich form.

With three wins from their last five matches, City are undefeated in their 15 league matches this term.

Having scored a seismic 50 goals, the Blues welcome a Sunderland side who have enjoyed an upturn in form recently.

Elliott Dickman’s youth team resume their domestic campaign having recently advanced to the last 16 of the FA Youth Cup.

With hopes of progressing in the historic cup competition, Dickman will be hopeful his young Cats can use the confidence gained from those results as he looks to improve their league form which has seen them collect just four points from a possible 15.
