Pre-season plans for Sunderland AFC’s under-21 side have been confirmed, including a duo of local ties as they prepare for the 2016-17 U21 Premier League season.
The young Black Cats will begin their preparations with a game against Seaham Red Star at Seaham Park on Tuesday 12 July, 7.30pm kick-off.
They will face Darlington one week later on Tuesday 19 July at the Northern Echo Arena, kick-off 7.30pm.
The pre-season campaign will also include behind-closed-doors games against Leeds United and Hearts alongside a short training camp in Spain.
