Knott heads out on loan

Youngster Billy Knott has joined Npower League Two side AFC Wimbledon on loan.

Sunderland's young attacking midfielder Billy Knott has moved to Npower League Two side AFC Wimbledon on a month-long youth loan deal.

The 19 year-old, who has scored two goals in 15 appearances for the Black Cats' reserve side this season, arrives in south west London with Terry Brown's side sitting 17th in League Two following promotion from the Blue Square Premier.

Canvey Island-born Knott joined the Black Cats after leaving Chelsea in 2010 and was the youth team's top scorer last season, netting 13 goals in 23 appearances alongside four goals in 13 outings for the reserves.

Knott is eligible for the Dons' trip to Port Vale on Saturday afternoon.
