Steve Bruce's Sunderland will play three pre-season fixtures in Germany this July.
The Black Cats will kick off their string of fixtures on the continent against 3rd Liga outfit Arminia Bielefeld at 3pm (local time) on Sunday 17th July, travelling to the 27,000-capacity Schücho Arena in Bielefeld to face a side just recently relegated from Germany's second tier.
Sunderland will then face Bundesliga outfit Hannover 96 at 7pm (local time) on Wednesday 20th July, travelling to the 14,000-capacity Weserberglandstadion in Hamelin, 50km south west of Hannover.
Hannover finished an impressive fourth in Germany's top tier in 2010-11 to ensure UEFA Europa League football next season.
Sunderland will complete their visit to Germany with a trip to face Borussia Mönchengladbach at the impressive 54,000-capacity Borussia-Park at 3pm on Saturday 23rd July.
Borussia narrowly retained their Bundesliga status last season after beating the third-placed team in Germany's second tier - VfL Bochum - over a two-legged play-off.
Tickets for the fixture with Arminia Bielefeld can be purchased on the day at the Schücho Arena, priced at €7 for standing and €15 for seating.
Tickets for the fixture with Hannover 96 can also be purchased on the day at the Weserberglandstadion, priced at €12 for standing, €20 for seating and €6 for children under 12.
Ticketing information for the trip to Borussia Mönchengladbach will be confirmed shortly.
