1759: DONE DEAL: Bizarre deal of the day, West Bromwich Albion have signed Rochdale defender Craig Dawson and immediately loaned him back to the League One outfit for the 2010-11 campaign.

Birmingham City have signed Chile winger Jean Beausejour. KS

1736:  DONE DEAL(S): Arsenal's Armand Traore has joined Juventus on loan for a season, whilst Liverpool defender Emiliano Insua has joined Galatsarray on a season-long loan.

1730: Contrary to reports Sunderland AFC have not yet completed a deal for Asamoah Gyan. Officials continue to work hard behind the scenes and safc.com will bring you any confirmed news as soon as we have it.

1707: Further Black Cats fans playing hawk-eye on Facebook: "Gyan and N'zogbia are currently at the metro centre buying toys from the disney shop.", according to Marc Raw. KS

1705: DONE DEAL(S): Manchester City midfielder Adam Clayton has completed his permanent move to Leeds and AC Milan have signed City forward Robinho. KS

1655: From Facebook, Aron 'lcfc' Jackson: "hurry up and just sign Gyan so we can have Waggy." KS

1637: DONE DEAL(S): Alexei Eremenko has joined Kilmarnock on a season-long loan deal from Ukrainian side FC Metalist Kharkiv. Liverpool have signed 16-year-old Suso from FC Cadiz on a scholarship agreement and MTK Budapest's Adam Hajdu on a temporary transfer 'til June 2011. KS

1628: DONE DEAL: Brighton have signed Kazenga Lua Lua on loan from Newcastle until the end of the year. KS

1600: The clock's struck four, we've two hours left of this summer's transfer window and we've got one of the most random rumours of the day, cited on BBC and on Facebook, suggesting Steve Bruce will attempt to bring Ronaldinho to the Stadium of Light. KS

1553: DONE DEAL(S): Celtic have signed former Sunderland striker Anthony Stokes from Hibernian on a four-year deal and Birmingham have finally dotted the i's and crossed the t's on the Alexander Hleb loan deal from Barcelona. KS

1536: DONE DEAL: Coming in thick and fast now - Birmingham City have completed the signing of Spartak Moscow captain Martin Jiranek. KS

1513: DONE DEAL(S): Kate's back in the hotseat and just at that deals have been done. Bolton have signed forward Rodrigo Moreno from Benfica on a season-long loan, subject to international clearance and Paul Konchesky has moved to Liverpool,with Lauri Dalla Valle and Alex Kacaniklic going in the other direction, joining Fulham. KS

1439: Birmingham's official Twitter says no deal yet for Alexander Hleb. SV

1416: DONE DEAL(S) Yuki Abe, a Japanese international, has joined Leicester City from Urawa Red Diamonds. Meanwhile, Tranmere sign both Jermaine Grandison and Arnaud Mendy on loan from Coventry and Derby respectively.

1321: Only six deals confirmed around the country so far. Could we be set for a busy afternoon? Here's hoping. SV

1318: Widely reported that Alexander Hleb has signed for Birmingham, but nothing on the club's official website yet. Good signing from Brum if it comes off. SV

1316: The interweb is saying former Sunderland defender Alan Hutton hasn't joined the Scotland squad as he is working on a move back to Rangers (BBC from Twitter). SV

1314: According to Sky Sports, Premier League clubs have spent just a touch over £306m in the current transfer window so far. Well, mostly Manchester City. SV

0843: Just a recap. The transfer window officially closes at 6pm, so all deals must be done before then, including getting the relevant paperwork to the correct parties in time. After that, managers can't get players in until January, barring emergency loans in extreme circumstances and free agents. Don't forget, bosses must name their 25-man squad tomorrow, too. SV
