Steve Bruce could be ready to hand Paulo Da Silva a quick-fire return when Sunderland face Leicester tomorrow.
Da Silva, 30, only returned to Wearside yesterday but has been included in the squad for the trip to the Walkers Stadium - Sunderland's penultimate pre-season fixture.
The Paraguay international will join the 20-man travelling party which will depart for the Midlands this morning before training upon arrival.
Da Silva's return further boosts a defensive line-up already bolstered by the arrival of Titus Bramble, the former captain of Wigan Athletic.
The former Toluca man was given extra time off after playing in every game as Paraguay reached the last eight of the World Cup.
