Eight receive call-ups

Ahmed Al-Muhammadi is one of eight Sunderland players called up by their respective countries.

Eight Sunderland players have been called up by their countries for friendly games in mid-August.

Paulo Da Silva and Cristian Riveros will return to Paraguay to play Costa Rica on August 11, just three days before the Barclays Premier League kicks off.

Trevor Carson and David Healy have been named in the Northern Ireland squad to face Montenegro, while Marton Fulop is selected for Hungary's game against England at Wembley.

Winger Ahmed Al-Muhammadi, a regular in the Egypt side, will represent his country against Togo.

Elsewhere, Simon Mignolet and Teemu Tainio have been called up for Belgium and Finland respectively.
