Steve Bruce is hopeful of having Kenwyne Jones and Darren Bent available for Saturday's trip to Leicester.

Bent missed the 2-0 defeat to Benfica with a hamstring problem while Jones was substituted just after the half-hour after taking a knock on his knee.

"Benty had a bit of a sore hamstring and we're not going to take a risk with that," Bruce said. 

"Kenwyne has tweaked his knee a little bit so we'll see how he is but we don't think it's too serious."

Phil Bardsley also missed the game with a knock while Matt Kilgallon continues to receive treatment.
