Noble's England dream over

England under 19s suffered defeat at the hands of Spain in this afternoon's European Championship semi-final in France.

Black Cat Ryan Noble was a second half substitute in the match and came off the bench with the Young Lions on the losing side of a 3-1 score line.

The Spanish took the lead in the 12th minute when Daniel Pacheco tucked the ball into the bottom corner past keeper Declan Rudd.

Great teamwork and a series of quick-passing by the Spaniards saw them double their lead just after the half hour mark thanks to Keko Gallardo.

England's John Bostock reduced the deficit three minutes later with a sublime 25 yard volley but the Young Lions couldn't build on that.

Spain were becoming more and more difficult to contain and England's European Championship dreams were brought to an end ten minutes after the re-start when Sergio Canales tapped home Thiago Alcántara's free-kick to seal the win for the Spanish and a place in Friday's final.
