Loan Watch: Championship round-up

safc.com check on the progress of the Black Cats' loan rangers who were in Championship action last night.

Striker Daryl Murphy found his goal scoring touch once again for Ipswich as he netted both goals in an impressive home win against Cardiff.

The Irish front man scored on his first three outings for Roy Keane's side but had failed to find the net in his last five games for the Tractor Boys.

Murphy scored his first goal from close range after a scramble in the six yard box - the strike was set-up from fellow loan-star Jack Colback's cross.

Black Cats forward David Healy was partnering Murphy up front in a game which saw both strikers create numerous chances between them. Murphy added his second goal of the game, latching onto a rebound from Owen Garvan's shot which Andy Marshall couldn't hold onto.

Murphy was substituted after 80 minutes and was unlucky not to have bagged his hat-trick due to some great saves by Marshall. Meanwhile, former Black Cats striker Michael Chopra was again unable to break his duck for 2010, having not found the net since December 2009.

Elsewhere in the Championship, Nyron Nosworthy was unable to prevent Sheffield United from a 1-0 defeat away to struggling Peterborough. The on-loan defender was also booked in a game which further dented Sheffield United's hopes of promotion.
