Lee Cattermole has been withdrawn from the reserve squad to face Hartlepool United in the Tote Cup at Eppleton CW this evening (KO 7pm).

Cattermole, 21, had been expected to take some part in the game but has been pulled out after figuring for the senior team last night.

David Meyler and Daryl Murphy are both set to face Pools, as are Roy O'Donovan and leading scorer Ryan Noble.

Admission is priced at £3 adults and £1 concessions payable on the gate. Season ticket holders can gain free entry by showing their season cards.

Sunderland have named the following team: B Wilson, Kay, Liddle, L Noble, Madden, Cornforth, O'Donovan, Meyler, Tounkara, R Noble, Murphy.

Subs: Brown, Misiewicz, Hourihane, Galer, O'Mahoney.
