Referee Alan Wiley will take charge of his third Sunderland game of the season when Arsenal visit Wearside tomorrow.
Wiley was in the middle as Steve Bruce's side saw off Blackburn 2-1 at the SoL back in August, booking Phil Bardsley and Lee Cattermole in the process.
Then he took charge of the 2-2 draw at Manchester United, sending off Kieran Richardson for a second bookable offence late on as well as showing yellow cards to Bardsley and Anton Ferdinand.
Wiley holds the notable distinction of being the only official selected for both the major domestic finals in the same season.
He took charge of the Carling Cup Final between Wigan and Manchester United in 2006 before returning as Liverpool beat West Ham to claim the FA Cup.
A member of the Select Group of top official since 1999, Wiley refereed his first Football League games in the 1997/98 season, quickly moving up the ladder.
The Staffordshire-based official refereed mostly top-flight games last season, although he was appointed to several key Cup and Football League games, including a Championship play-off semi final.
In total Wiley ran 41 games last season, showing 127 yellow cards and just four reds. Including the Sunderland games versus Blackburn and Manchester United, Wiley has been in action 14 times this season (43 yellow cards, 3 reds).
