Striker Fraizer Campbell is in line to start against former club Spurs this Saturday after returning to training.

Campbell, 22, missed the draw with West Ham after picking up a knock in the latter stages of the Carling Cup tie against Aston Villa at the Stadium of Light.

The frontman returned to action at the Academy of Light yesterday and is expected to play a full part in the build-up to the game at White Hart Lane.

"Fraizer trained yesterday and he will train fully again today," confirmed Bruce, who is still without several big names for Saturday's game.

Lorik Cana and Kenwyne Jones are both suspended and England U21 midfielder Lee Cattermole is sidelined with a knee ligament problem.

Meanwhile Bruce also confirmed that John Mensah (calf) and Bolo Zenden (hip) would "definitely not be fit" for the trip to Spurs.
