Former Sunderland boss Roy Keane is delighted that Carlos Edwards and Grant Leadbitter have joined him at Ipswich Town.
Keane told itfc.co.uk: "I worked with both players at Sunderland and know what they are all about.
"They have dropped down from the Premier League, that shows a hunger and commitment to play football and I'm delighted to have them here.
"They have played in the Championship, know what's needed to get out of this division and they will add qualities that we need at this football club."
This season, Edwards had only featured for Sunderland in the Carling Cup win over Norwich City, while Leadbitter also featured at Carrow Road, he came on as a second half substitute for the injured Lee Cattermole in Sunderland's home defeat to Chelsea at the Stadium of Light.
Both players featured in Sunderland's promotion-winning 2006/07 campaign. Edwards joined midway through the season in January and chipped in with five goals, whilst Leadbitter made over 40 appearances, netting seven goals.
