With just 48 hours remaining of the summer transfer window, the rumour mill is continuing to churn out speculation about players coming and going from Wearside.
The surprise speculation surrounding the Black Cats is in The People, who have reported that Hull City manager Phil Brown still wants to sign Fraizer Campbell.
The former Manchester United striker only moved to Sunderland last month but The Tigers still want their man. City had previously tried to sign Campbell prior to his move to Sunderland.
Another player linked with a move to Sunderland is goalkeeper David James. Although Steve Bruce now has a fully fit Craig Gordon and Marton Fulop, paper talk continues to link the England keeper with a move to Wearside. Tottenham are the other club who have been heavily linked to James.
Speculation surrounding Danny Collins' future continues to grow as he was on the bench against Stoke on Saturday. The defender was temporary captain for Steve Bruce in the opening few games of the season.
More rumoured departures links striker David Healy with a move to Coventry. The Northern Ireland International star has yet to start a league game for the Black Cats since his move from Fulham.
