Enter North East Live competitions

Details of two fantastic contests ahead of summer gig.

Following on from the success of 2013’s North East Live event at Sunderland’s Stadium of Light, some of pop’s biggest acts will come together as AEG brings the phenomenal summer music event back to the region.

The music extravaganza, headlined by Jessie J, will also feature live performances by Rizzle Kicks, The Saturdays, The Vamps and Union J, as well as Jason Derulo, who is jetting in especially from the USA, plus Katy B, Neon Jungle and Rixton.

After the tremendous response from local schools to last year’s competitions we would like to give students the opportunity to play their part in the music extravaganza with two competitions.

Primary school pupils from across the region are being asked to design a programme on this year’s concert with creativity and originality at the core of the competition.

Classes from the participating schools are to use the logos, images and biographies attached in the ideas pack to create their perfect programme. We are encouraging classes to be as unique as possible and use whatever tools are at their disposal including the old fashioned stick and glue, or computer design if you are tech savvy.

The winners of the competition will receive tickets for the full class and accompanying adults to North East Live. The class will also receive a money can’t buy montage from the day and copies of the programme will also be printed for the school to keep.

Secondary school pupils, college and university students will also have the chance to participate, with a competition to test their writing skills. They are being asked to submit a mock review of what the concert will be like and the winner will be invited to attend the show and write an actual review, which will appear online on the SAFC website.
