Fantastic new competition launched.
Some of pop’s biggest acts are coming together for the return of North East Live at the Stadium of Light - and one lucky North East primary school class is being given the chance to be there for free.
The concert, which takes place on Sunday 22nd June, is being headlined by Jessie J, with appearances by Rizzle Kicks, The Saturdays and teen sensations The Vamps and Union J. Jason Derulo will also be jetting in from the USA to play his only outdoor UK tour dates for 2014.
Now, festival organisers SAFC and AEG, are giving primary school pupils from across the region the opportunity to play their part in the music extravaganza by designing a programme for the event.
Those who wish to participate will be issued with a pack of images, as well as logos and biographies about the line up for North East Live 2014, and must then work with their classmates to design an original and creative programme promoting the event.
The winners of the competition will receive tickets for the full class and accompanying adults to attend North East Live, as well as copies of the printed programme to keep as a memento and a montage of images from the day.
SAFC commercial director Gary Hutchinson said: “We’re encouraging children to be as creative and original as they want and really get into the spirit of North East Live. It’s a fun, family-friendly event for the whole region and we want to involve as many people as possible in the show and the build up to the day.”
Schools across the North East are already being contacted directly by SAFC with details about the competition, however schools wanting more information can also email firstname.lastname@example.org.
