The owners of Sunderland's famous Luciano's Restaurant opened this smaller sister restaurant in 2006. Angelo's Ristorante is located close to the town centre in a carefully restored Grade II listed building in Sunderland's historic Sunniside area, just along from the award winning Sunniside Gardens. Customers are encouraged to spend an evening, not only enjoying the delicious food, but also taking in the beautifully restored venue. Fireplaces, flooring and even the doors are all original, but the highlight has to be the glass staircase which was only discovered during the refurbishment and dates back to the mid 1800s.
