Knott helps Wycombe to victory at Exeter.
Billy Knott’s impressive start to life at Wycombe Wanderers continues as the midfielder helped the Chairboys through to the next round of the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy on Tuesday evening.
Knott played the full 90 minutes and provided an assist as the League Two club won 2-0 at Exeter.
The midfielder, making his third appearance for Wycombe, set up the opening goal when he dispossessed Tommy Doherty inside his own half and put Gareth McClure through to score.
Anthony Stewart made sure of victory eight minutes from time when he headed in Sam Wood’s cross.
