Striker heading to Israel with U21s; Rose also selected.
Sunderland striker Connor Wickham has been named in the England U21 squad for this summer’s European Championships in Israel.
Wickham, 20, has been a mainstay in Stuart Pearce’s side and has scored five goals at international level this season.
Defender Danny Rose, who played the last game of his loan spell with the club last weekend, has also been named in the 23-man squad.
The young Lions are on a nine-game winning streak and will begin their bid for glory against Italy in Tel Aviv on June 5.
England then head to Petah Tikva to face Norway three days later before taking on the hosts in Jerusalem on June 11.
Pearce, whose side are the only team to reach the finals on four successive occasions, told thefa.com:
"From day one our aim has been to win this competition, and the tests that lie ahead will only get harder, so will require us to keep getting better.
“I’ve taken the Under-21s to three tournaments so far and know the standard that will be required if we are to reach our goal.
"Tournaments like this are so important in a player’s development and will help them to be fully prepared for what could come in the future at, say, a World Cup or a European Championship.”
All of England’s games will be screened live in the UK on Sky Sports.
