Midfielder reviews two-goal comeback.
Jack Colback admitted a quick response to going 2-0 down was key as Sunderland rescued a point against Fulham on Saturday.
Dimitar Berbatov and Sascha Riether gave the visitors a strong lead at the Stadium of Light only for Sunderland to hit back almost immediately thanks to Craig Gardner’s penalty.
And the Black Cats went on to claim a share of the spoils thanks to an excellent finish from Stephane Sessegnon 20 minutes from time.
Craig did well with the penalty and we were on the front foot for the majority of the game after that

“It was important we got that goal back straight away, because otherwise it would have made the task even harder in the second half,” Colback said.
“Craig did well with the penalty and we were on the front foot for the majority of the game after that.”
There were chances aplenty in the second period and Colback felt a point was a fair result on the balance of play.
“The pattern of the game was similar to Arsenal, where we were pressing forward with them looking to break,” he explained.
“Maybe it was good for the neutral but obviously it was disappointing for us and the fans that we didn’t get the win.
“We deserved a draw, definitely, and on another day we might have gone on and nicked it.”
On Sessegnon’s equaliser, Colback added: “It was a good finish from the edge of the box.
“We try to find Sess as much as possible because we know what he’s capable of.”
Meanwhile the midfielder joined the chorus in support of Simon Mignolet after the acclaimed keeper made another crucial save.
Mignolet pulled off a block to deny Berbatov one-on-one before his team broke straight up the other end of the field to level the scores.
“Simon’s save was just as important as the second goal,” Colback explained. “If that goes in it’s 3-1 and probably game over.
“Time and time again he’s made saves like that which have kept us in games.
“It’s good that Simon’s getting the recognition for what’s done for us. Ever since he joined us he has been top class.
“He is a great keeper to have – even if the opposition are clean through you know he has a chance of saving.”
