Flashback: Stunning double sinks Swans

A look back on Swansea's last visit to the SoL.

Two fine goals in either half saw Sunderland leapfrog Swansea in the Barclays Premier League, during the Swans last visit to Wearside a little over a year ago.

The Black Cats' continued their excellent run of form under new manager Martin O'Neill as they produced two finishes of the highest quality to sink a Swansea side who had dominated possession in the first half.

Stephane Sessegnon opened the scoring from an acute angle early on to nose Sunderland in front before the hosts were rewarded for their defensive solidity when Craig Gardner stepped off the bench to score a spectacular second late on to seal the victory and take Sunderland’s tally to 16 points in eight games.
