Take a look back on last clash with Swans.

Sunderland claimed an away point in an entertaining encounter at Swansea back in September.

Steven Fletcher scored twice on his Sunderland debut either side of a Wayne Routledge goal, but Michu’s second-half leveller ensured the spoils were shared.

Fletcher, signed from Wolves on deadline day, got his Black Cats career off to a dream start when he seized on an error by Ashley Williams to beat Michel Vorm with a delightful angled shot.

Swansea levelled on the stroke of half time – Routledge popping up to fire home a Michu cross.

However, there was still time for another goal in the first period when Seb Larsson’s free-kick found its way to the back post for the unmarked Fletcher to stab home.

The hosts dominated the early stages of the second half, duly cashing in when Michu stooped to score with a close-range header.

City were forced to play out the closing stages of the game with 10 men after Chico Flores was shown a straight red card for a high challenge on Louis Saha.

But despite their numerical disadvantage, the Swans continued to press and Sunderland were forced to mount a concerted rearguard action to secure a point.
