Loanee scores late decider as Hull move second.
Ahmed Elmohamady’s late header sent Hull City second in the Championship as the Tigers overcame Derby County 2-1 at the KC Stadium.
Mohamed Gedo had given the hosts the lead before Jamie Ward equalised five minutes from time to give the visitors hope of an away point.
Elmohamady had different ideas, though, and he headed Robbie Brady’s corner home in the 87th minute.
Meanwhile, Adam Reed played 90 minutes as Portsmouth drew 0-0 at Hartlepool United in League One’s battle of the bottom two.
The draw did, however, prevent Pompey from breaking an unwanted record of ten consecutive defeats.
