Wickham plays as Wednesday claim point.

Connor Wickham made his Sheffield Wednesday debut in the Owls’ 2-2 draw with Derby County at Hillsborough.

Wickham, who moved south on loan last Friday, came on as a 33rd-minute substitute for Wednesday, who had trailed the Rams by two goals to nil.

And it was nearly a dream start for the England under-21 international only for a great save from Rams goalkeeper Adam Legzdins, denying him his first Owls goal in the closing stages.

Ahmed Elmohamady played 90 minutes for Hull City as they missed an opportunity to move into the automatic promotion spots in the Championship.

The Tigers lost 1-0 at Brighton on Saturday evening with the division’s top six all failing to pick up maximum points.

Billy Knott scored his third in two games for Woking as the Cardinals extended their winning run to four in the Conference Premier.

Knott scored the visitors' third goal as Woking came away 3-0 winners at Alfreton Town.

Ji Dong-Won played 90 minutes for Augsburg as they drew 1-1 with Mainz in the German Bundesliga.

And Adam Reed completed 90 minutes for Portsmouth as they lost their south coast derby with Bournemouth 2-0.

Pompey, who travel to Hartlepool in midweek, are second-bottom of League One, nine points from safety.
