Midfielder looking forward to facing Reds.
Jack Colback is looking forward to rising to the challenge against Liverpool – but has warned that Sunderland won’t have it easy.
The Black Cats face Brendan Rodgers’ Reds on Wearside tomorrow looking to build on encouraging away draws at Arsenal and Swansea.
“We’re happy with being undefeated and now we’re looking to get that first win in the league,” Colback said.
“Liverpool are a massive club and it’s always good to play teams like that. They haven’t started that well but have a lot of very good players, so it should be a tough game.
“I think we’ve been playing well and there’s a lot of positive signs for the start of the season.
“People have been writing Liverpool off after three games but they are a team full of quality and I think they’ll come good.
“We played well against them last year with a good point at Anfield and then a win up here.”
Meanwhile Colback says he’s encouraged by the progress being made by Sunderland’s new-look attacking unit.
“We look like we can cause teams problems,” he explained. “I think other teams look at us as a much more threatening unit now.
“We have a lot more creativity in the team and the players who’ve come in have only improved the squad.
“I think it’s exciting times for the club.”
