Left-back keen to get forward.
Danny Rose says attack is on the agenda as he settles into life at Sunderland.
The left-back has started each of his side’s last four games, putting in a series of increasingly impressive displays.
Rose was often used in an attacking role at Spurs and, having settled into the squad, is now looking to add a more offensive side to his game.
“For the first two games I think I could have got forward a lot more than I did,” he explained.
“The gaffer told me he wanted me to get forward a bit more and that’s a part of the game I really enjoy.
“I’m going to try and [get forward] in the games to come.”
Rose is also striking up a good understanding with James McClean, who operates just in front of him on the left wing.
“I’m still getting used to James and how he plays,” he explained.
“I’m working out the best time to get forward and I want to feed him the ball as much as possible as he’s a dangerous left-sided player.”
