Loan Watch: Meyler on the mark

by Stuart Vose

Midfielder scores again for Hull.

David Meyler found the net again for Hull as the Tigers closed to within a point of the automatic promotion places in the Npower Championship over the weekend.

The midfielder fired home his second goal in as many games as Steve Bruce’s side beat Huddersfield 2-0 at the KC Stadium.

Robert Koren opened the scoring early on before Meyler added a second goal when he shot into an empty net in injury time.

Fellow loanee Ahmed Elmohamady also featured, completing the full 90 minutes.

In League One, Blair Adams’ productive loan spell at Coventry continues as the Sky Blues registered their fourth league win in five games.

City ran out comfortable 4-1 winners at Doncaster to move up to 13th in the table.

And Billy Knott played a key role in Woking’s 1-0 win over Stockport County in the Conference Premier.

The midfielder supplied the cross which led to Adam Doyle’s late winner.
