Vaughan and Wickham both set for run-outs tonight.
Kevin Ball has named a strong squad for tonight’s Barclays U21 Premier League derby against Newcastle United at the Stadium of Light (KO 7pm).
Connor Wickham is again named in the squad having scored twice in the corresponding fixture on Tyneside.
He is joined by midfielder David Vaughan (pictured), who appeared as a late substitute in the first team’s 3-1 win at Fulham yesterday.
Elsewhere striker Mikael Mandron wins a call-up after scoring twice in the under-18s’ 6-1 weekend win over the Magpies, taking his goal tally to 11 in nine games.
