Two years ago today Sunderland fired three past Chelsea.

2010: Sunderland gave their performance of the season as they toppled Chelsea 3-0 at Stamford Bridge. Nedum Onuoha opened the scoring for the Black Cats in the first half, before second half strikes from Asamoah Gyan and Danny Welbeck sealed the win.
1997: Sunderland's Craig Russell and Nicky Summerbee swapped clubs, with Russell heading to Manchester City and winger, Summerbee sealing a move to the SoL.
1964: George Hardwick was appointed Sunderland manager three and a half months after Alan Brown resigned.
1891: The 'Team of all the Talents' maintained their excellent home form with a 7-1 demolition of Derby County.
