N'Diaye, Graham and Brown meet Foundation youngsters.
Sunderland stars Danny Graham, Wes Brown and Alfred N’Diaye went back to school as they teamed up with the clubs charity Foundation of Light.
The trio were on hand to play games, take part in a football tennis session delivered by the Foundation before being quizzed by pupils at Southmoor School in Sunderland.
The players joined in with around 30 kids to play a range of games including bingo, Blockbusters and Jenga before taking time out for a question and answer session.
They then joined the kids in the gym for a game of a football tennis in which defender Wes Brown’s team came out on top.
“It was great fun,” said Graham. “The three of us really enjoyed interacting with the youngsters and joining in the games.
“The kids were really enthusiastic and we were delighted to be invited to come along and take part.”
The Foundation of Light delivers a wide range of sports and education programmes for schools across the North East, and education sessions are ran in specially designed classrooms at the Stadium of Light.
By using the power of football, the organisation brings subjects to life for pupils helping improve attitudes, and increase enthusiasm and motivation within the classroom through courses that can be specifically tailored to a group’s needs and tie-in with the National Curriculum.
