Four new publications due for release.

SAFC match programme editor Rob Mason has been a busy man with three new books set to hit shops this week.

It’s the perfect way to start your Christmas shopping as there’s something for Black Cats fans of all ages.

First up is the 2013 edition of the SAFC Annual, it features posters, puzzles, quizzes, profiles of all the players, as well as cooking tips from Black Cats mascot Samson the Cat.

The official annual is priced at £8 and is a great stocking filler for younger fans.

Also due for release is ‘Sunderland Miscellany’; his 160 page hardback book is a random collection of weird and wonderful Sunderland stories through the years, such as the time Muhammad Ali came to training or the transfer deal that was carried out in the House of Commons!

At only £9.99 it’s an ideal addition to any fans’ collection.

‘Match of My Life’, which was first published in hardback in 2008 has been re-published in paperback (168pp £9.99).

A dozen stars including Niall Quinn, Gary Rowell, Marco Gabbiadini, Jim Montgomery, Charlie Hurley and all time top scorer Bobby Gurney re-live the greatest game they ever played for the Lads.

In addition to this hat-trick of publications, the definitive book on the history of the club, ‘Sunderland the Complete Record’ has also gone to print this week and is due for release next month.

Written by Rob Mason and  fellow Red and White contributors Mike Gibson and Barry Jackson, ‘The Complete Record’ weighs in at well over 700 pages and is a much expanded and updated version of the book first published in 2005 including many new sections.

All books will be available in club stores and online at
