Hungry fans reaping rewards

Local restaurant sees the benefit of supporters' scheme.

A city centre restaurant has seen a boom in bookings, with hundreds of hungry season card holders taking advantage of the SAFC Rewards scheme.

Ian Wong, of Asiana Fusion Restaurant, has revealed that his business has hugely benefitted from the exclusive initiative.

He said: “Customers have come in because they have had the SAFC Rewards discount and they have said they were really glad they tried it.”

Mr Wong explained that he enjoyed seeing both new and existing customers participating in the scheme.

“The offer has brought in a lot of new customers and it is great to reward the loyalty of existing customers.”

He went on to say that he would certainly recommend SAFC Rewards to other local businesses, saying “they would be stupid not to” participate.

He said: “We have seen increased foot-fall and increased awareness of the business. We are already well known in Sunderland but it has increased awareness among people who don’t visit the city centre much.”

Mr Wong also said he was already preparing for next season.

“We would be likely to continue with the offer, it’s a straight forward offer that works.”

Asiana joined the SAFC Rewards scheme when it was launched ahead of the 2012-13 season. The initiative allows Sunderland season card holders to take advantage of various discounts and exclusive offers throughout the region and beyond.

Season card holders can keep up-to-date with SAFC Rewards by providing a current email address. Click here and log-in, you will already be registered as a season card holder and you can update your details on the registration page.
