Fans queueing

Superfans queue for concert tickets

by Stuart Vose

Countdown to Bon Jovi ticket release continues.

Queues are forming at the Stadium of Light with superfans braving the cold to camp out overnight and bag their ticket for Bon Jovi’s date on Wearside.

Anna Gray (pictured above left) and Sara O’Connor were first in the queue with tickets set to go on general sale on Friday morning.

The New Jersey outfit are set to rock north-east music fans at the home of the Black Cats on June 13, 3013.

Anna, of Monkwearmouth, will fulfil a childhood ambition to see Jon Bon Jovi take the stage and thinks the gig will go down a storm.

“I haven’t slept since I found out Bon Jovi were coming to the north east,” she said. “Seeing them live is something I have always wanted to do and I’m just so excited.

“I wanted to guarantee my place and be first in the queue so I don’t mind staying overnight.”

A limited number of general admission tickets* priced at £65 will be available from the Stadium of Light ticket office from 9am tomorrow.

These tickets are for in-person purchasers only – bookings cannot be taken via telephone.  These are general admission tickets  (standing/unreserved seating) and a maximum eight per person is permitted.

Credit/debit card purchases are subject to a booking fee.
