Extra £12.50 tickets for US rockers released.
Sunderland’s Stadium of Light will play host to US rock gods Bon Jovi, as the band hits the road on its worldwide Bon Jovi: Because We Can – The Tour next year.
The band, who last performed in the North East of England in 2000, are set to rock Wearside in the summer of 2013.
Due to huge initial demand additional tickets have now been released, priced at just £12.50 and £25. In a move requested by the band themselves, the hugely discounted ticket prices will ensure that as many fans as possible get to see the show.
Sunderland AFC’s commercial director Gary Hutchinson said: “The concert promoter is delighted with ticket sales so far, so much so that they have now released additional tickets in the lower price categories. These are unprecedented prices for a major music tour and will make the show accessible to so many more people, which is great for the region and the city of Sunderland.”
As well as unprecedented early ticket sales, the stadium’s concert hospitality packages have proved hugely popular and additional options, priced from £160 have now been released.
