The Foundation of Light have released a limited amount of discounted places on their Dublin to Sunderland Cycle Challenge.
A very limited number of places on the Final 50 leg of the Dublin to Sunderland (D2S) Cycling Challenge charity fundraiser have been released today.
Places on the ride are available for just £100 which includes transport for riders and their cycles to the start of the route, D2S team cycle shirts and an invite to a celebratory Gala dinner at the Stadium of Light.
Taking place on Sunday 22nd July the route, starting at Once Brewed, takes in the beautiful Northumberland scenery before dropping down to follow the Tyne to Gateshead.
The group will then pick up the cycle route through Jarrow to the coast south of South Shields. The finale is the coastal run into Sunderland past Roker Beach to the Stadium of Light.
Sponsored by Grafton Group plc the D2S Challenge is a 380 mile cycle ride from Dublin to Sunderland taking in Northern Ireland and Scotland along the way. More than 20 riders are due to take part in the five day challenge.
Former Sunderland AFC ace Marco Gabbiadini will be taking part in the ride which has been organised to raise funds for the Foundation of Light, the registered charity of Sunderland AFC.

The event officially begins on 17th July with a special launch event at the British Embassy in Dublin held with support from UK Trade and Investment before heading off from the Carlton Hotel Blanchardstown the following morning.
The ride will officially conclude with a Gala dinner at the Stadium of Light on Sunday, 22 July.
Riders will receive support along the route from CycleWild, experienced professionals in the field of Cycling Holidays who have also planned the cycling aspects of the challenge.
The Carlton Hotel group is the event hotel sponsor and Sunderland based cycle shop CycleWorld are also supporting the event by offering challenge participants a 10% discount on cycles bought to take part in the ride.
The D2S Challenge was conceived by long term Foundation of Light supporters Harry and Susan Hill of Reds.
