Nicknamed the 'Mighty Atom’, Patsy Gallacher combined superb ball control and fine dribbling skills with a natural body swerve which was ahead of its time.
His peak coincided with the Sunderland’s league and cup triumphs of the 1930s and he scored the winner in the 1937 FA Cup semi-final victory over Millwall.
