Black Cats at charity Bond premiere.

Sunderland AFC stars joined charity supporters at a special advanced charity screening of the new James Bond film, Skyfall, last night.

The exclusive black tie event, held at Cineworld in Boldon, was attended by players Phil Bardsley, Fraizer Campbell, Lee Cattermole, Adam Johnson and Seb Larsson, who mingled with guests before the screening.

Held to raise funds for the Foundation of Light, the registered charity of Sunderland AFC, guests walking the red carpet and enjoyed Bond-themed games and activities in a drinks reception sponsored by Heineken, with catering provided by Santa Maria’s restaurant.

Katrina Quinn, Events Co-ordinator at the Foundation of Light, said: “We hope that everyone who attended had a great evening. The payers were fantastic and really got into the spirit of the evening.

“We’d like to express our sincere gratitude to Cineworld Boldon, without whom this event wouldn’t have been possible. As well as arranging the premiere screening they , helped us put on a great evening’s entertainment for our guests.”

The Foundation of Light (formerly known as SAFC Foundation) is the registered charity of Sunderland AFC which works with more than 42,000 people every year.
