Now booking for special sport course.
The Foundation of Light are booking places for the Extra Time course in Peterlee and surrounding area, offering adults aged 18 and above the first step into a career in sport.
Held at the Caterpillar Centre of Light, Peterlee, the six week course starts Tuesday, 13 May and runs every week 12.30-4.30pm.
The course offers participants the opportunity to take the nationally recognised BTEC Sport and Active Leisure Level 1 qualification which gives them an introduction into the world of sport science. They will also take part in exercise and fitness sessions as well as gaining an insight into coaching.
Travel expenses and lunch money is provided for participants.
Those who complete the programme will receive tickets to an SAFC home league game in the 2014-15 season and the opportunity to progress onto the Level 2 qualification.
