Foundation's 'Back on Track' looking to help youths aged 16-19 years.
The newly structured ‘Back on Track Study Programme’ is looking for teenagers to sign up, learn new skills and gain qualifications.
Designed to help teenagers aged 16 – 19 years, who are not in education, employment or training, gain practical and work experience, the course consists of 18 hours per week delivered over a 35+ week period, whereby learners participate in accredited and non-accredited learning.
The course gives participants the chance to achieve several BTEC qualifications including Level 1 in Sport and Active Leisure, Level 2 in Personal Social Development as well as improving numeracy and literacy skills up to level 2.
The programme will be delivered from the recently refurbished Hedworthfield Community Association in south Tyneside.
The programme is run with funding from South Tyneside Council Adult and Community Learning.
