Foundation receives further backing from popular watch brand.
It’s almost time to strike a pose for the return of Fashion Strikes.
The annual fundraising dinner and fashion show, which returns to the Stadium of Light on November 25, will see a host of SAFC players and models taking to the catwalk – and this year they’ve got a helping hand from new sponsor, Holler Watches.
The American-based brand which caters for both men and women, is inspired by the music, fashion and style of the urban soul scene, with digital and analogue watches available to suit every age and budget.
Some of Holler’s famous ambassadors include legendary musician Bobby Womack, boxers Mike Tyson and Ricky Hatton and Chelsea footballer Romelu Lukaku, as well as dance and music groups Diversity and the Pussycat Dolls.
Holler is also timing partner for two Barclays Premier League clubs WBA and Crystal Palace and is the only watch brand in the world to be a timing partner for two Premier League clubs at one time.
A number of Sunderland AFC’s first team will be added to this squad of famous fans later this month, when they hit the catwalk at Fashion Strikes wearing a variety of watches from Holler’s latest collection, supplied by Darren McCormick Jewellery (DMJ), which represents the brand in the UK.
Darren McCormick from DMJ said: “Holler has been present in the UK market for around two years now and I can’t think of a better way to celebrate the brand’s second birthday in this country than by backing such a worthy cause as Fashion Strikes and the Foundation of Light. Holler Watches is really taking off and the brand has achieved more than was ever thought possible. ”
Proceeds from Fashion Strikes, which also includes a formal dinner, auctions and evening entertainment, will be used to help fund the Foundation of Light’s wide range of education and sports-based programmes, which benefit more than 42,000 young people and their families across the North East every year.
Phil King, Head of Commercial at the Foundation of Light, said: “Holler is a renowned and high quality brand and we’re delighted to be showcasing some of its collection at Fashion Strikes 2013.”
Holler watches retail between £50 and £189. More details about the brand can be found at www.holleronline.com
