Exciting event coming up for youngsters.
The Foundation of Light are offering youngsters the chance to take part in a variety of free football activities in Sunderland next weekend.
A variety of activities, including coaching and five-a-side competitions, will be held for youngsters aged 3-13 years old on Saturday 7th September from 10am-4pm at Goals Soccer Centre, Durham Road, Sunderland.
Also, two-hour coaching sessions from 10am-12pm are available for Little Dribblers 3-5 year olds, Little Skills 5-7 year olds, Game Play 8-13 year olds, Girls’ Only for 5-12 year olds in addition to PAN Disability for boys and girls aged 5+.
Three five-a-side tournaments will run in the afternoon from 1pm-4pm for under 7’s and 8’s, under 9’s and 10’s and under 11’s and 12’s. With a maximum of six teams, and eight players per squad, demand is expected to be high and participants will be booked on a first come, first served basis.
Children will also have the opportunity to take part in the Foundation’s Speedcage and inflatable goal (both £1 for three attempts) where they can have an opportunity to win SAFC match tickets.

The Foundation of Light’s Active Bus, sponsored by Arriva, will be present on the day so that parents/guardians and children can have free health MOT’s and receive advice on how to improve their overall health.
